Training and assistance on the use of Cognos and the data warehouse is provided by Enterprise Data and Analytics. We offer a variety of support and training options, from hands-on classroom training, one-on-one assistance, and training documents.
To request access, please fill out a Help Desk ticket through the IT Help Web Portal ITHelp.IllinoisState.edu. Step-by-step directions on how to navigate to and fill out the form can be found in our job aid, How to Request Cognos Access. You will need to provide your ULID, department, your business need for access, and which package you would like access to. Additional information on what is currently available in Cognos can be found in the BI Reports section.
Attend an instructor-led Cognos training course or attend a one-on-one lab session. The lab session provides time with a Cognos expert in modifying and/or creating a report or general assistance in using Cognos. Additional information on the training sessions available, including how to enroll in the course, can be found in the Training section.
